Wow! A Whole Month...

I can't believe I have let an entire month go by and not filled you in on my life!  I will quickly recap since I have like 15 minutes until I have to go pick kiddos up from school.

Let's see...Oh, the day after my last post I turned 4-0. yes, that's right FORTY years have passed since I blessed the world with my presence!
I thought turning 40 would be absolutely, positively the worst thing ever but turns out it's just a number.  I'm pretty immature as it is, and most of my friends...ok, pretty much all of them...are quite a bit younger than me so I really don't feel like more than, Oh, I don't know...33 (that is Kensley's magic age that she guesses for anyone over 33 to make them feel happy- thanks Kensley!).  Besides the older I get the less I have to care about what everyone thinks.  When you get some age and experience on you, you can pretty much say it like it is!
A few of my close friends surprised me on my birthday and took me to Nashville to check out some fabric stores and to eat at the Cheesecake Factory and then I partied again the next week with pretty much all of my friends at P.F. Changs -YUMMY-.  See, when you turn 40 you get to party for a week!

Katie-Claire also had a birthday...she turned 8 on 9-11.  I can't believe my third oldest child- or would it be second youngest- is EIGHT years old.  Man, time flies!  She had her much anticipated Roller Skating Party with an AUBURN theme...talk about embarrassing...I was truly embarrassed to be pushing around a buggy at Party City with Auburn stuff in it.  I wanted to tell everyone I saw that I do NOT go for Auburn.  I don't know whose child she is!  No, I do, she belongs to my sister Susan.  Willful and headstrong!! Love you, Susan :)
She asked for a bible for her birthday so that is what she got...she was a little disappointed that she couldn't really play with it but she love it anyway!

I am in the beginning stages of making my first quilt.  Sis. Teresa Smith and Sis. Susan Smallwood are teaching a bunch of us how to quilt.  I got my fabric and batting cut yesterday and sewed most of the first square...only 29 more squares to go! ;)

Well, I guess that's all for now.  I am surprised at how much I was actually able to write in that short amount of time.  I'll post pictures later!
